Small removals and Man with a Van across Paisley & Renfrewshire

Most removals firms in Paisley and Glasgow are set up for the big jobs — full 3-bed family moves with five guys, two trucks, and a £900 invoice. Great if you need it. Wildly over-spec’d if all you’re moving is a sofa and a bed.

That’s where we come in. We’re the man-with-a-van that you call when:

• You’re moving from your old flat to your new one and you need a couch + bed + a few boxes shifted
• You bought a wardrobe off Marketplace and need it picked up across town
• Your kid’s coming home from halls and needs their stuff back to Paisley

Big enough van (VW Crafter MWB), small enough operation that you talk to the person doing the lifting. No five-grand quote, no white-glove faff, just a fair price and a quick turnaround.

What we do

Small flat removals. One-bed flats, studios, single-room moves. Typical job is 2–4 hours, one or two trips depending on volume.

Single-item delivery. Sofa from Marketplace, fridge from Argos depot, antique from auction. Pickup, transport, drop-off, with you all the way.

Student moves. Halls to flat, flat to halls, summer storage trip back to Paisley. We’ve done a lot of these.

Local moves between flats. You’re moving 1.5 miles down the road. You don’t need a national removals firm. You need a Crafter and a strong back.

Couch / bed / wardrobe runs. “I bought a couch in Edinburgh and I need it home to Paisley.” That’s a job. Done plenty.

Shop / market deliveries. Small commercial drop-offs, deli to deli, market traders. Cash on the day works fine.

What we DON’T do (and what to call instead)

• Full 3-bed+ house moves — if you’ve got a 4-bed family home with a piano, we’ll point you to a proper removals firm. Britannia Movers and HJG Removals in Paisley both do good work for the bigger jobs.
• International moves — we don’t ship to Spain. Ours is local-only.
• Specialist piano moves — we can move an upright piano on the ground floor with two of us, but a grand piano needs specialists.

How we price small removals

Two ways:

Hourly rate — for moves where the volume is uncertain or there are several stops:
– One-man-and-van: from £45/hour, 2-hour minimum
– Two-man-and-van (we bring help for awkward stuff): from £65/hour, 2-hour minimum

Fixed price — for moves where the volume is clear:
– Single-item collection + drop-off in Paisley/Renfrewshire: from £45
– Single-item across central Glasgow: from £55
– Single-item further afield (Lanarkshire, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire): from £75
– Small one-bed flat move within Renfrewshire: from £150
– Small flat move Paisley → Glasgow or vice versa: from £180
– Student halls move: from £100

How it works

1. You call or text 07506 990431 with the basics: where from, where to, what’s moving, when.
2. Quote on the call — usually 5 minutes.
3. Confirm a slot — same-week most weeks, often same-day for single items.
4. The day of the move — we arrive on time, lift carefully, get it there in one piece.
5. Pay on completion — cash, card, bank transfer.

For local single-flat moves the whole thing usually takes 2–3 hours. For inter-town small moves with a couple of stops, more like 3–5 hours.
